X-Teen Senior High (A Ten Day Experience with a Week-Only Option)
We’ve expanded our second joint program with the Upper Susquehanna Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of American and the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania.  This year’s X-Teen is a ten-day experience.  You’ll spend Sunday to Friday at camp and then be sent out on Friday night to do service work in Central Pennsylvania until Tuesday when you’ll come back to camp to reflect on your experience.  This is a great opportunity to serve God and meet new people your own age!  Please note:  if your schedule does not permit you to spend 10 days with us, you can chose to stay from June 17-22.  Basic Fee:  $429

WEEK 3:  June 24-29, 2012

Building Youth Groups (Grades 4-6)
Youth leaders, pastors, and parents!  Keep your youth group strong and growing by laying a foundation for its future members!  Bring your elementary-age kids to Camp Mount Luther for BYG, a fun, community building experience.  We’ll work with you and your campers to facilitate relationship building experiences.  You’ll need to come along, too (one adult comes free for every seven kids you bring to camp.  Additional adults come at a reduced fee.)  Plan to spend time each day with your kids to work on building your own youth group.  We’ll also have activities for everyone to participate in.  Camper Fee:  $43 per day; group can come for 1-5 days.

Campfirmation
This week is also open to congregations bringing their confirmation students for a campfirmation experience.  Pastors, teachers, and confirmation students can come for confirmation sessions they lead and our staff will provide programming as well.  You can also pair up with other congregations to provide a great time of retreat.  Camper Fee:  $43 per day; group can come for 1-5 days.  One adult comes free for every seven kids you bring to camp.

WEEK 4:  July 1-6, 2012

Pedal, Pack and Paddle (Completed Grades 7-9)
This trip camp is a sampler for those who have an appetite for adventure!  You’ll be mountain biking on the Pine Creek Trail in North Central PA so please bring a mountain bike in working order, a helmet, and an extra inner tube.  You’ll also experience backpacking and hiking in some of the most scenic wilderness in Pennsylvania.  Please know that the group will sleep out with tarp shelters even if it is raining.  And, be prepared for a time of paddling, either on Pine Creek or another local lake.  Basic Fee:  $429

Super Night Owl for Juniors and Intermediates
During this week, you’ll stay up later each night and do nighttime activities like flashlight tag, star gazing, night hikes, Capture the Flag, and maybe even a drive-in style movie or sleeping in the field!  Make sure you have a good flashlight and some dark clothes.  Since everyone will be staying up late this week, we’ll also have a special evening of night-themed electives and we’ll celebrate the Fourth of July in true Mount Luther style!  We call this a SUPER week because each day we’ll have extra elective time so that you can participate in one or more of the following.  Basic Fee:  $429

  1. LEGO Adventure:  Campers will be able to express their creativity, learn more about their favorite hobby of LEGO building, build models, and grow in faith as you express Bible stories using this art form.  Campers who want to build can bring a set of their own to use during this time.
  2. Crafts:  If you like to do arts and crafts, you’ll have extra time in our craft lodge and will be able to make some special projects.
  3. Fishing:  Bring your own fishing equipment or use ours at our stocked pond.  Worms will be supplied!
  4. Water Adventure:  We’ll have all kinds of activities that you can do in the water; some will be at the pool, in a creek, perhaps on a water slide; bring your bathing suit!
  5. Survival Using the Resources of the Environment (SURE):  Learn more about surviving when you need the vitals of shelter, water, and fire.  Some areas we might cover include plant and animal identification, shelter building, simple tools, water collection, fire building, tracking exercises, pond studies and edible plants.
