Theme Weeks

Continuing a tradition started a few years ago, we’ll have several theme weeks this summer when we’ll offer special activities around a certain theme for our campers that week.

COLOR GAMES WEEK (June 20-25) is a new theme week this year when we teach Christian sportsmanship and play a wide variety of games and sports- some you will know, some will be new!  Bring good running shoes and a mitt, if you have one!  If you want to fish, bring your fishing pole and any other equipment.  A limited amount of fishing supplies (including worms) will be available.  Each cabin group will wear a color for their team each day- bring different colors of T-shirts (suggested:  red, yellow, green, blue, white).

BRING YOUR OWN ADVENTURE WEEK (June 27- July 2) is a new theme week when we want you to bring something to teach others.  We’ll have an opportunity for you to teach a talent to other kids and staff during electives and we’ll have a talent show when you can show off your talents.  We want every camper to bring something to teach, show, tell, demonstrate or do!  The possibilities are endless.

MOUNT LUTHER HERITAGE WEEK (July 4-9) was a blast last year as we explored the camp’s historical roots.  We’ll do it again this year and have activities they used to do in the “good old days” at Mount Luther and you can learn more about the history of our outdoor ministry site.

SCOOBY DOO WEEK (July 18-23) is a newly designed week when your cabin group will work together to solve a mysterious case.  You’ll try to solve it before the other groups in camp come up with the answer.  Please come with your mystery abilities ready to solve the case!

BASIC* WEEK (August 1-6) is jointly planned by Camp Mount Luther, the Upper Susquehanna Lutheran Synod and the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania.  Campers from Episcopal, Lutheran and other traditions gather for a joint week of outdoor ministry.  This year we will have activities themed around “Winter Olympics in August.”  Come see how we do winter sports in the summertime!  We’ll also be doing Stations of the Resurrection!
