Camp Mount Luther is committed to forming intentional community, and a large portion of our community exists beyond the bounds of our sacred space. We are always looking for opportunities to engage in friendraising and fundraising. Our most exciting fundraising opportunity is our capital campaign, Foundations for the Future. We also offer other fundraisers including: Evening at Shade Mountain, Bishop’s Open Golf Classic, Dandelion Run, and Raise the Region. We also create new friends of camp through our various marketing efforts and our annual synod-wide Camp Mount Luther Sunday. Our Giving Tuesday effort this year raised funds to continue getting new mattresses for our cabins.

This year, we rolled out a new website, blog (Good SOIL), camp management software (to automate more tasks to free up staff time for other pursuits), and continued to improve our online presence through targeted Google ads (funded partially by a Google grant for non-profits). We also enjoyed some site clean-up work done by a volunteer, Tom Stahlnecker. The Gates Family continued work on screening in Pine Village.
In the coming year, we will use a new system for marketing that has been developed to better hit many touchpoints of our constituents. We seek new markets to tell our camp story to attract campers and user groups.
We also open camp up to rentals from the greater community, which helps to offset our annual costs. We are proud to rent our space out to the Shikellamy and Midd-West school districts for outdoor education each spring and summer.
