2025 Budget Snapshot: Our Sacred Space

Camp Mount Luther is a place set-apart. It’s a sacred space devoted to providing safe and restful recreation, reconciliation, and resurrection. It is holy ground reserved for forming people of all ages as disciples of Christ. Nurturing such space, mending its facilities, caring for creation, and ensuring its longevity is hard work. A significant portion of our resources (including administration, maintenance, groundskeeping, and repair) goes toward tending our sacred space.

This year, we had some major repairs to our site. The water heater in Pine Village, two refrigeration units in the kitchen, and a water line break required repairs that were unexpected. We also upgraded our internet to Starlink and provided better internet access throughout main camp. We are in the process of upgrading to a Voice Over Internet Phone system. While there is some initial financial outlay for hardware, our monthly phone bill is expected to decrease (and we will have much better service)!

We still have our Total Inclusion grant of $7,000 to make accessibility upgrades to the Administrative Center. We made improvements to Pine 6 to create a family cabin for use by families to provide a different style of accommodations on site. Thanks to a Giving Tuesday fundraiser we were able to purchase more mattresses. Maple Village has all new mattresses, and we have two cabins left in Pine to complete that project.

This year we look forward to the new Maple Bathhouse and continuing our work to make Maple Hall renovations a reality. We are interested also in making improvements to Oak Cottage.
