God's ministry at Camp Mount luther
Rooted in God's Work
All ministry is God’s ministry—and Camp Mount Luther is one of the ways we join in it. Our camp is a beautiful place set apart, where people grow in faith, friendship, and confidence through outdoor experiences and Christian community.
We plant God’s people in good soil, guided by the Holy Spirit. We cultivate:
- Spiritual formation through faith practices and biblical education
- Outdoor adventure and stewardship of God’s creation
- Intentional community centered on the way of Jesus
- Leadership development through hands-on experience and reflection
2025: A Season of Growth
Last year, God’s Spirit was at work in powerful ways.
- Children, youth, and families grew in faith through on-site and off-site summer camp programs.
- We continued our partnership with the Upper Susquehanna Synod in our new youth ministry initiative.
- Our spiritual coaching program continued, helping participants explore life as Theologians of the Cross.
- We cut the ribbon on the new Maple Bathhouse, thanks to generous donors, and used it during the final week of camp!
- Our fundraising and capital campaign helped strengthen the camp community and prepare for future improvements.
2026: Building on the Momentum
We’re ready to grow even more. Next year, we will:
- Expand the youth ministry initiative with new activities and leadership opportunities.
- Launch an updated camp schedule with new age groupings, electives, and more all-camp worship.
- Support a new faith community for young adults, designed by and for them.
- Begin our new strategic plan to guide Camp Mount Luther’s next chapter.
Faithful Stewardship in Action
Our budget isn’t just numbers—it’s a plan for ministry. Here’s how it takes shape:
- The Executive Director drafts the budget using past data and current needs.
- The Finance Committee reviews, refines, and recommends it.
- The board approves the final plan after thoughtful discussion.
Looking Ahead
The Holy Spirit continues to move through Camp Mount Luther—calling us to serve children, youth, families, and adults across central Pennsylvania. We’re excited for what’s next. We invite you to join us as we grow God’s ministry together.
Here's how we plan to spend money in the coming year:
Total income: $589,979
Total expenses: $599,895

We’ll explore each of these areas in detail in future blog posts!
