There is a lot to celebrate at Camp Mount Luther!
- We honored our executive director’s 25 years of service.
- The new Maple Bathhouse is open—and debt free.
- The board adopted a new Strategic Plan to guide our future.
- Our young adult faith community, CaTALYST, received a national innovation award.
Thank you for being part of this ministry—through your gifts, prayers, volunteering, participation, and advocacy. You make this possible.
What’s Next: Foundations for the Future (Phase 2)
We’re now looking ahead to the second phase of our Foundations for the Future capital campaign. Our priority: upgraded overnight lodging—especially for adults and families.
Before moving forward, the board wants to pause and plan wisely. Construction costs are rising. We are committed to being faithful stewards of your generosity. That means reimagining what Maple Hall—and potentially other spaces—should look like to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s opportunities.
Between now and summer, we’ll be dreaming, evaluating, and refining plans. We invite your ideas and input. Watch for opportunities to share in this process.
Your Support Matters
We invite you to consider:
- Making a gift to the capital campaign (if you intended to but haven’t yet).
- Continuing or completing a current campaign pledge.
- Supporting the annual fund.
Some donors shifted annual fund gifts to the campaign. If that was you, please prayerfully consider resuming support for the annual fund, which sustains the day-to-day ministry of camp.
We are deeply grateful for every gift and remain committed to careful stewardship.
Our New Strategic Plan
We adopted a Strategic Plan in August 2025, and we are excited to begin work on these initiatives! Our main goals for the next 3-5 years and our 2026 focus areas with the goals include:
- Involve new constituents: Continue developing Catalyst, our young adult community, and a Wild Church. Redesign outreach materials. Find ecumenical, creation care, and LTGBQ partners.
- Renew aging facilities: Engage volunteers to do work projects around camp. Decide on timeline for Maple Hall renovations.
- Enhance Summer Program: Explore program elements to strengthen character traits, making friends, and developing social skills.
- Increase three season program offerings: Garner ideas and volunteers to plan and implement.
- Commit to staffing growth: Strategically plan future year-round staff meets and income to meet those needs
We are recruiting team members to help carry out these goals. If you would like to serve or share input, please contact Board President Rev. Gary Schaeffer (pastor@miltonlutheranchurch.org) or any board member.
Thank you for helping Camp Mount Luther grow into the future.
