So many smiling faces. Such good food. Conversation that was engaging with lots of laughs. Reconnecting with old friends.
Those are some of the highlights of our Evening at Shade Mountain Winery last Friday night. This annual event helps to raise money for our annual fund. It’s a fun night of fellowship, good food, good wine, and even better conversations.
Just over 40 people attended. This year, instead of a live musician, we featured piano music from George Winston. Those in attendance said they enjoyed that and were able to engage more in conversation which they liked.
Toni Gessner, our hospitality manager, provided the food. She fed us with great appetizers and desserts. I really liked the small bunt cake in the cookies and cream flavor. The mini meatball pastries were really good, too. It’s amazing how much you can fill up on a variety of appetizers.
We raised over $6,300 for the camp. We will also receive a portion of the wine sales that night from the generous folks at Shade Mountain Winery. I’m grateful to all those who came out. Thanks to all for a great evening!
