Preview: 2024 Week 3

By Chad Hershberger

One of the biggest weeks of the summer, as far as enrollment goes, is Week 3: Water Adventure Week. Often, when we ask a group of campers what your favorite thing about camp is, the answer is “the pool.”

So, bring your water wings, your aqua shoes, and extra towels for this week of camp. We will have time for campers to spend extra time at the pool, and the pond, and even in the creek. We’ll do more with water whether it is a creek hike, canoeing, fishing, a water slide, or maybe even a water balloon fight.

Water plays a very important part in our life as Christians. Martin Luther reminds us to start each day by remembering our baptism as we wash. So, all during this week we will be doing the same thing as we splash around in the water.

This week is for our core group of those aged 9-14. That is the age group that we program for each week. We will also offer our SALT camp for senior high-aged campers. Service And Leadership Training is a chance to learn more about leadership, what it means to be on camp staff, and to serve others with projects as well as being a “junior cabin leader” under the wings of one of our staff

If you have not signed up for camp yet, there is still time to do it!
