Save the Date for CML Sunday!

This year's Camp Mount Luther Sunday is February 15!

Each year, the Upper Susquehanna Synod joins together to promote camp in their congregations. Camp and Synod leadership have designated Transfiguration Sunday as camp Sunday each year because of the connections between the disciples’ mountaintop experience and campers’ mountaintop experiences.

Please join us in celebrating and supporting Camp Mount Luther!

How do we celebrate Camp Mount Luther Sunday?

There are lots of ways to do it! You can:

  • pray for the campers, staff, and ministry of Camp Mount Luther
  • sing camp songs
  • take an offering on behalf of Camp Mount Luther
  • ask campers to share testimony about the value of camp
  • hold a Bible study on our curriculum theme
  • decorate your congregation with items from camp/nature (one congregation even pitched a tent up near the altar!)

You can find worship resources connected to the curriculum here.

What if Transfiguration Sunday doesn't work for us?

No problem! You can celebrate Camp Mount Luther Sunday any Sunday that works for you!

Is anyone from camp available to help lead?

Absolutely. We love joining you for Camp Mount Luther Sunday, and we’d be happy to help you plan a program for that day.  Email us at cml@campmountluther.org to get started!

A bit about this year's curriculum theme: Wear love

Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. (Colossians 3:12)

Together, we will see how God wants us to put on love every day, just like our favorite clothes. At camp, we will learn to show love through kindness, humility, calmness, sticking with what’s right, and forgiving others. When we wear love, we help our community grow stronger and share God’s love with the world!
